Specialized Coaching For Optometry School, Optometry Residencies, Optometry Fellowships And Optometry Jobs

We offer specialized, expert interview coaching for optometry school, optometry residencies, optometry fellowships and optometry jobs. We help you polish your resume and CV, answer difficult and tricky questions, tell compelling stories that showcase your strengths, and help you handle any situation that can arise in an interview. We give you feedback and guidance on your vocal skills, eye contact and body language.

If you experience interview anxiety or stage fright we have a state of the art interview psychology training program to teach you mental toughness, poise, and calmness and focus skills so you'll go into your interviews feeling confident.

If you tend to freeze up and go blank, or forget what you wanted to say, we teach you advanced communication techniques that help you gracefully and diplomatically "stall for time" and gain more data while you can think of what to say.

We teach you the art and science of rapport building so you can reduce your discomfort with small talk and have the interviewer like you.

Our collaborative, professional relationship supports, guides and advises you across the full range of the interview process.

We'll show you how to come across to optometry school, optometry residency, optometry fellowship and optometry job interviewers as a candidate who will be highly desirable and successful as a student at their institution.

The interview coaching will be conducted by Bill Cole, MS, MA, a thought leader in peak performance, coaching, and the mental game. Bill's degrees include an MA in counseling psychology, and his memberships include the American College of Sports Medicine and Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.

Bill has been a featured speaker at state, national and international medical conventions. For years he has trained physicians and other medical professionals in many fields in his mental peak performance system. He has trained doctors, staff and office managers in both the medical and dental worlds on how to manage and optimize medical practices from a patient satisfaction perspective. Bill has helped these practices improve their efficiency, hiring practices, training, policies and procedures, marketing, sales, front office procedures and to grow the practice overall.

Frequently Asked Questions About Optometry Interview Coaching

Question: How many hours does this optometry interview coaching take?

Answer: Many other optometry interview coaching programs we have seen require a very large time commitment, upwards of 10-25 hours. However we have found that we work so efficiently that most of our clients need only 4-6 hours with us. Of course we can support you through your entire interview process, at any level of coaching you desire.

Question: I see coaches charging packages of $2000 to $4000 for optometry interview coaching. Why is it so expensive?

Answer: Interviewing for optometry school, optometry residencies, optometry fellowships and optometry jobs is expensive in and of itself. The coaching you receive is a very small investment in view of not only the overall value you will receive, but also in comparison to the income you will earn in optometry. Our fees are based only on the coaching you actually receive. You never pay for hours you don't use. Over the course of your coaching time with us, your investment would range from $300-$600 or so.

Question: What aspects of the optometry interview process do you help me with?

Answer: We become your guide for whatever you may need in this process. Some of our services, as part of the coaching and consultation:

  • Resume and CV review and editing
  • Help you improve your writing
  • Help you craft answers to difficult and sensitive questions
  • Help you improve cover letters
  • Help you study for exams
  • Mock interviews
  • Stress management and stage fright control
