Why You Are Not Getting The Job
Eight Little-Known Job Interview Errors You
Are Probably Making, But Don't Know It

There are many not-so-obvious interview errors
that people make every day, many times without any awareness. The
interviewing game is one of art and science, and the candidate who
learns how the game is played wins. Here's what you need to know
to stand in the winner's circle.
1. NOT Showing Passion Or Interest In The Position: It is
not enough to think, "I'm here, so they should KNOW I want this
job". You need to make yourself stand out from the other job seekers
by showing that you are VERY interested in the position. People
want other people who want them.
2. NOT Speaking And Acting Professionally: Every job has
its culture expectations and behavior code. You want to discover
that and match it to a "T".
3. NOT Answering The Questions Asked: It is incredible how
often interviewees fail to address the specifics of questions. You
MUST answer what is asked.
4. NOT Keeping Your Religion Or Politics To Yourself: This
is simply a naive, deadly error. Don't do it, even if prompted and
encouraged by "the friendly interviewer".
5. NOT Showing How Your Background And Skills Match The Position:
The interviewer may or may not be smart, but they won't do your
work for you. You must show them how you are the perfect fit for
the position.
6. NOT Asking Any Questions: Want to demonstrate that you
are apathetic? Don't ask any questions!
7. NOT Demonstrating That You Are Indeed Listening: It is
not enough to listen. You must SHOW that you are tuned into what
the interviewer is saying. Use active listening and answer the exact
questions being posed.
8. NOT Using Modern Terminology Or Up-To-Date Resume Formats:
This is a perfect way to say non-verbally, "Hey there, I am out
of it, and from another time and space!".
To put your best foot forward, know these interview errors and vow
never to commit them. See you in the winner's circle.
